Pop Festival 1973
Stones Throw live in Athens, 22/5/2009. Terrible. But, here's what we got out of it! It's the product of the greek Columbia Records' new bands contest in 1973. The 13 winner songs got to be in this LP. It's cult, and it's amazing!! If only all these bands had continued playing this stuff!

Danger Mouse And Sparklehorse - Dark Night of the Soul (2009 @ 192Kbps)
Fuck my ass!!! What the hell a forgotten indie-rocker from the late 90s has to do with the most successful and in-demand producers of the 00s? Well, to create a masterpiece!! And you wanna know who's with 'em? Iggy Pop, Julian Casablancas, Gruff Rhys, David Lynch, Frank Black, Wayne Coyne, Nina Persson, any many more.. A legal matter with EMI delayed the release of the album, and they are currently just selling the case with a blank CD-R.. Pretty ahead of their time you gotta admit!

Sudden Death
Sudden Death is the title of the long awaited upcoming release by Blend, due sometime in June. Palov & Mishkin's second release is already out since yesterday.. It's gonna be another summer full of the tunes of our beloved Cast-a-Blast. Untill then here are a coupla songs from Blend's new album.. Collaborations with two greek mcs, the one-and-only Taki Tsan and Elephant Phinix.

A chair desined to point out that perhaps not all of our Tweets are so important
Tinkerer Randy Sarafan has used his mechanical skills to make an amusing sociological comment about the often pointless, banal postings of the masses on sites like Twitter. To be more specific, Sarafan has rigged up an office chair that Tweets his farts.
A natural gas sensor hooked up to a Squidbee module and connected to his computer sends out a random (if canned) Tweet every time Sarafan passes gas. I'm not sure what's funnier, that, or the fact that people are actually following it.
Sarafan's Instructable on the feat is here, closed with the line "Happily let people know that you are engaging in life as it happens."

The Dead Weather
Jack White's new band, he plays drums this time, along with Alison Mosshart of the Kills, Dean Fertita of the Queens of the Stone Age and Jack Lawrence of the Raconteurs. This is the first single from their debut album Horehound, said to be released in June. Enjoy!
