Kieran Hebden & Steve Reid - NYC (320 kbps) [2008]

The duo's virtuosic picture of the 21st-century city feels so alive it might convince Escape From New York's Snake Plissken to return.

It’s great headphone music and would make a suitably dense soundtrack for a drunken stroll through the Lower East Side, where much of the inspiration for NYC was found.

Recorded over two days in February, the six-track album never grates but instead remains funky and accessible without pandering to the listener. from here

Ομολογώ οτι ο δίσκος, δεν πήρε τις καλύτερες δυνατές κριτικές απ' τα γνωστά μουσικά στέκια-sites, αλλά όπως λέει και ο σοφός : "οι γνώμες είναι σαν τις κολοτρυπίδες. Όλοι έχουν από μία.."
Ααα και μην ξεχνάτε οτι οι ηχογραφήσεις έγιναν σε μόλις 2 μέρες. Αμα υπάρχει ταλέντο και όρεξη για δουλειά... Σίγουρα στο top 20 μου για το 2008.
